KNYSNA LOERIE

The Knysna Loerie is one of our most precious treasures of the Garden Route and you are so lucky to
see them. They are very shy and what a delight to see them when they take the air.... !!!
Beneath their wings you will see the reddest reds displayed. The one on the photo is feasting on the
fruit of the wild Fig tree. This photo was taken in the Wilderness National Park , only 3 km from Rinkink.

Photographer's dream...(only 3 Km from us) The Cape Weavers (Placeus capensis) are building their new nests and I was also lucky to see a few of the very shy Knysna Loeries We are going to Namakwaland next week and
this is one of the wonders on this Earth !! Kilometer by kilometers are covered with flowers and a feast for the eye !

RESTAURANTS

Beejuice Restaurant is only a few meters from Rinkink Beach House and very safe to walk , day of
at night time. This was the old Wilderness Station on the famous Choo choo steam route from George
to Knysna. Lovely breakfasts with fresh crumpets and good...good coffee. They are popular for their light "tapas"meals and have a wonderful selection of South African Wines.
